My Top Five Sustainable Jewellery Practices

Working with plastic-free and sustainable materials whenever possible is extremely important to me. Ethical sourcing is a key part of producing jewellery, and I do this by choosing products that are recycled, recyclable, reusable or compostable.

Here are 5 ways I’m trying to be kinder to the planet.

  1. I use 100% cotton pouches which are eco-friendly, reusable and recyclable.
  2. Each order includes plantable seed paper note cards. They’re made with a range of wildflower seeds and 100% recycled waste cotton.
  3. My mailing bags are 100% compostable and made of natural materials such as cornstarch. These will fully decompose without producing toxic residues in the process.
  4. I work with 100% recycled metal which is of equal quality to non recycled metal and has a positive impact on the environment. Recycling metal saves resources and prevents the destruction of habitats from mining new ore.
  5. I use eco-friendly alternatives to traditional jewellery-making products (such as citric acid for pickling instead of harsh chemicals).

As my business grows, I will strive to be as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible every step of the way.
